At our visit to Lambda today, we were introduced to the Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology and the Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. Lambda explained the applications of both to the field of engineering, specifically in the construction of Europe’s largest regeneration project: The Ellinikon. These tools helped to design and predict the structure of the soon-to-be built Ellinikon. Seeing the efforts put into this project and how passionate the leaders were really made an impression on me. This will leave a lasting impact on my future, as I will be sure to choose a career that I am as passionate about as the workers at Lambda are.
