Last Day in Greece!

Today we had our final company visit at AlphaOmega, a pharmaceutical logistics and warehousing company. Walking through the warehouse, we saw different types of storage, such as a massive refrigerated and several large rooms full of racks with different pharmaceutical storage. The layout of the racks and the large freezer rooms reminded me of Costco back in the US. I also observed tools used for picking orders in the warehouse, such as a scanner used for double verification with type and storage location, and a large cart that was capable of filling orders for multiple different pharmacies. I think the degree of specialization for pharmaceuticals was really unique, as there was a lot of detail put into things like temperature control with the freezer rooms or the garage door technology for loading and unloading containers with insulation.
